Schirmer has announced plans to quickly produce a performable edition. Meanwhile performers in the Chicago area hastily organized a first reading from the set of handwritten parts at a local church, not far from the Center for Black Music Research where so much of Price’s legacy has been preserved and advanced into the public sphere.
